Tu vales mucho y tus hijos valen mas.
Sinceramente....Esmeralda

Greetings,

Are you ready to say good-bye to President Bush's global gag
rule? I know I am.

With your help, we can take a step closer to our goal. Recently
the Senate voted to repeal the dangerous and divisive global gag
rule by a vote of 53 to 41!

20,000 of our activists helped us win this key Senate vote. Now
we have to make sure that the Senate language is included in the
final bill Congress sends to Bush.

Help us reach our goal of getting 50,000 supporters to contact
Congress - click here http://prochoiceaction.org/campaign/cong _globalgag_091407/wdn5ukkr4ej6k6n?. Your
action can make a difference.

By taking action today, you can help us build the support we
need to end the global gag rule and ensure that women around the
world have access to birth-control services. But it's not going
to be easy.

President Bush has already threatened to veto any bill that
includes a pro-choice provision, including this one. That's why
I need you to join me in urging Congress to stand firm against
Bush's global gag rule - http://prochoiceaction.org/campaign/cong _globalgag_091407/wdn5ukkr4ej6k6n?.

Thank you again for activism in support of women's reproductive
health and freedom.

My best,
Nancy Keenan

women's voice in the counselling -therapy services

Hi

I have been looking for information around the following issue;

Counsellors or therapists who have been raped/abused themselves.

I am a women who has a history of abuse and rape. I work as a counsellor and I am seeking offical registration here in New Zealand.
I am feeling stigmatised.

Polictically I am also seeing the bureaucratization of the services being offered to women who have been raped and abused. Feminist understanding is not upheld.

Here in New Zealand people who have experienced mental illness have now some say in their services. People who have had addiction issues are also
recogonised in their field.

Women who have been raped and abused have no say or place in theraputic services.

I have always been out --I have written a book Getting to Peace a guide for healing after rape and abuse. I have just recieved a letter from another cousellor questioning my integrity and honesty--very strange.

I am wondering of this is something others are noticing. I think that we do have a place in the services being offered to us. I think that we need to be included and women should have a choice.
Women who come to see me appreciate that I have been through rape and abuse.

I would love to connect with other who are interested in this issue.

Enjoyed reading your site.

Warm regards Brenda www.healingafterrapeandabuse.co.nz

I have been a victim of D.V when I was residing in U.s. from Nov'98 to April '04. I was sent away by my husband forcefully even before I got my green card with my two U.s. born children. At presen I am fighting in the Bangalore India courts against him about D.V. I was not even able to secure the documents I had filed in the Nashivlle Family Courts of D.V. I need someone who can help me to secure those docs and send it to me. My email id. is savitha_law36@yahoo.com

PLEASE CIRCULATE WIDELY:

CALL TO ACTION FOR WOMEN OF COLOR ADVOCATES
NEXT SCHEDULED CALL: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2007
1:00-3:00 PM EST

Register for the conference call by filling out the registration below:
http://pubs.pcadv.net/wocn/callt oaction9-20.pdf
http://pubs.pcadv.net/w ocn/calltoaction9-20.pdf

TO ALL WOMEN OF COLOR ADVOCATES AND ACTIVISTS, ALLIES AND COLLEAGUES:

During our Call to Action II: "How Will We Organize?"
for Women of Color Advocates that took place on Thursday, August 16, 2007, several participants stated
their interest in seeing the Call to Action continue,
not just as a way to encourage dialogue but as an
actual MOVEMENT.

The decision was made by the group on the call to continue the conference calls for women of color
advocates and to take concrete steps toward action.
The following are steps that were agreed upon:

1) To develop a National Call to Action Statement that will be representative of our collective voices;
2) To develop a more systematic way to address racism and other forms of oppression in our programs -
including the ironic BACKLASH that some advocates of
color are currently getting for being a part of these calls;
3) To plan and implement a National Conference
entitled: "Call to Action: Organizing Advocates of Color" to take place within the next two years;
4) To highlight what is working well in our programs.
